Luke 19:39-41

The Voice

Pharisees (who were in the crowd): ³⁹Teacher, tell these people to stop making these wild claims and acting this way!

Jesus: ⁴⁰Listen—if they were silent, the very rocks would start to shout!

⁴¹When Jerusalem came into view, He looked intently at the city and began to weep.

³⁹Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples!”^(A)

⁴⁰“I tell you,” he replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.”^(B)

⁴¹As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it^(C)
