14 One Sabbath, when Jesus went to eat in the house of a prominent Pharisee,^(B) he was being carefully watched.^(C)

²And ^(A)they watched Jesus,^[a] to see whether he would heal him on the Sabbath, so that they might accuse him.

²Some of them were looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, so they watched him closely^(A) to see if he would heal him on the Sabbath.^(B)
