42 And the Lord said, (A)“Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his master will make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of food [a]in due season?
42 The Lord(A) answered, “Who then is the faithful and wise manager, whom the master puts in charge of his servants to give them their food allowance at the proper time?
17 For if I do this willingly, (A)I have a reward; but if against my will, (B)I have been entrusted with a stewardship.
17 If I preach voluntarily, I have a reward;(A) if not voluntarily, I am simply discharging the trust committed to me.(B)
7 For a [a]bishop must be blameless, as a steward of God, not self-willed, not quick-tempered, (A)not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money,
7 Since an overseer(A) manages God’s household,(B) he must be blameless—not overbearing, not quick-tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, not pursuing dishonest gain.(C)
10 (A)As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, (B)as good stewards of (C)the manifold grace of God.
10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others,(A) as faithful(B) stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.
