³² “Do not be afraid,^(A) little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom.^(B)

¹⁶ I have other sheep^(A) that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock^(B) and one shepherd.^(C)

⁷ Who serves as a soldier^(A) at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard^(B) and does not eat its grapes? Who tends a flock and does not drink the milk?

² Be shepherds of God’s flock^(A) that is under your care, watching over them—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be;^(B) not pursuing dishonest gain,^(C) but eager to serve; ³ not lording it over^(D) those entrusted to you, but being examples^(E) to the flock.
