40 Fools! Didn’t He who created the outside also create the inside? 41 But give as tzedakah those things that are within, and indeed everything is pure to you.
42 “But woe to you Pharisees, for you tithe mint, rue, and every garden herb,[a] yet bypass justice and the love of God. It is necessary to do these things without neglecting the others.

40 You foolish people!(A) Did not the one who made the outside make the inside also? 41 But now as for what is inside you—be generous to the poor,(B) and everything will be clean for you.(C)
42 “Woe to you Pharisees, because you give God a tenth(D) of your mint, rue and all other kinds of garden herbs, but you neglect justice and the love of God.(E) You should have practiced the latter without leaving the former undone.(F)
