40 Foolish ones! Did not (A)He who made the outside make the inside also? 41 (B)But rather give alms of [a]such things as you have; then indeed all things are clean to you.
42 (C)“But woe to you Pharisees! For you tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and (D)pass by justice and the (E)love of God. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone.

42 “Woe to you Pharisees, because you give God a tenth(D) of your mint, rue and all other kinds of garden herbs, but you neglect justice and the love of God.(E) You should have practiced the latter without leaving the former undone.(F)
