17 The seventy[a] returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name!” 18 And he said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.[b] 19 Behold, I have given you authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall hurt you.

18 He replied, “I saw Satan(C) fall like lightning from heaven.(D) 19 I have given you authority to trample on snakes(E) and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.
