¹⁷ “If anyone sins and does what is forbidden in any of the Lord’s commands, even though they do not know it,^(A) they are guilty and will be held responsible.^(B)

¹² Whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them.^(A)

²⁰ For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made,^(A) so that people are without excuse.^(B)

¹⁴ (Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law,^(A) they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law.

¹³ Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor^(A) and a violent man, I was shown mercy^(B) because I acted in ignorance and unbelief.^(C)
