The Profane Fire of Nadab and Abihu

10 Then ^(A)Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, ^(B)each took his censer and put fire in it, put incense on it, and offered ^(C)profane fire before the Lord, which He had not commanded them.

⁷ put fire in them and put incense in them before the Lord tomorrow, and it shall be that the man whom the Lord chooses is the holy one. You take too much upon yourselves, you sons of Levi!”

¹⁸ So every man took his censer, put fire in it, laid incense on it, and stood at the door of the tabernacle of meeting with Moses and Aaron.

⁶ Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a live coal which he had taken with the tongs from ^(A)the altar.

⁷ And he ^(A)touched my mouth with it, and said:

⁵ Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and threw it to the earth. And ^(A)there were noises, thunderings, ^(B)lightnings, ^(C)and an earthquake.
