²“Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, If anyone ^(A)makes a special vow to the Lord involving the valuation of persons,

Leviticus 27:2

New International Version

²“Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘If anyone makes a special vow^(A) to dedicate a person to the Lord by giving the equivalent value,

²Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When a man shall make a singular vow, the persons shall be for the Lord by thy estimation.

²⁸Therefore I have lent him to the Lord. As long as he lives, he is lent to the Lord.”

^(A)And he worshiped the Lord there.

²⁸So now I give him to the Lord. For his whole life^(A) he will be given over to the Lord.” And he worshiped the Lord there.

²⁸Therefore also I have lent him to the Lord; as long as he liveth he shall be lent to the Lord. And he worshipped the Lord there.
