Leviticus 26:40-45
Christian Standard Bible
40 “But when they confess their iniquity and the iniquity of their ancestors—their unfaithfulness that they practiced against me, and how they acted with hostility toward me, 41 and I acted with hostility toward them and brought them into the land of their enemies—and when their uncircumcised hearts are humbled(A) and they make amends for their iniquity, 42 then I will remember my covenant with Jacob. I will also remember my covenant with Isaac and my covenant with Abraham, and I will remember the land. 43 For the land abandoned by them will make up for its Sabbaths by lying desolate without the people, while they make amends for their iniquity, because they rejected my ordinances and abhorred my statutes. 44 Yet in spite of this, while they are in the land of their enemies, I will not reject or abhor them so as to destroy them and break my covenant with them, since I am the Lord their God.(B) 45 For their sake I will remember the covenant with their ancestors, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations to be their God; I am the Lord.”

New International Version
40 “‘But if they will confess(A) their sins(B) and the sins of their ancestors(C)—their unfaithfulness and their hostility toward me, 41 which made me hostile(D) toward them so that I sent them into the land of their enemies—then when their uncircumcised hearts(E) are humbled(F) and they pay(G) for their sin, 42 I will remember my covenant with Jacob(H) and my covenant with Isaac(I) and my covenant with Abraham,(J) and I will remember the land. 43 For the land will be deserted(K) by them and will enjoy its sabbaths while it lies desolate without them. They will pay for their sins because they rejected(L) my laws and abhorred my decrees.(M) 44 Yet in spite of this, when they are in the land of their enemies,(N) I will not reject them or abhor(O) them so as to destroy them completely,(P) breaking my covenant(Q) with them. I am the Lord their God. 45 But for their sake I will remember(R) the covenant with their ancestors whom I brought out of Egypt(S) in the sight of the nations to be their God. I am the Lord.’”
Leviticus 26:40-45
King James Version
40 If they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, with their trespass which they trespassed against me, and that also they have walked contrary unto me;
41 And that I also have walked contrary unto them, and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised hearts be humbled, and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity:
42 Then will I remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land.
43 The land also shall be left of them, and shall enjoy her sabbaths, while she lieth desolate without them: and they shall accept of the punishment of their iniquity: because, even because they despised my judgments, and because their soul abhorred my statutes.
44 And yet for all that, when they be in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break my covenant with them: for I am the Lord their God.
45 But I will for their sakes remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the heathen, that I might be their God: I am the Lord.

46 When they sin against you—
for there is no one who does not sin(A)—
and you are angry with them
and hand them over to the enemy,
and their captors deport them to the enemy’s country(B)—
whether distant or nearby—
47 and when they come to their senses[a]
in the land where they were deported
and repent and petition you in their captors’ land:
“We have sinned and done wrong;
we have been wicked,”(C)
48 and when they return to you with all their heart and all their soul
in the land of their enemies who took them captive,(D)
and when they pray to you in the direction of their land
that you gave their ancestors,
the city you have chosen,(E)
and the temple I have built for your name,
49 may you hear in heaven, your dwelling place,
their prayer and petition and uphold their cause.
50 May you forgive your people
who sinned against you
and all their rebellions[b] against you,
and may you grant them compassion
before their captors,
so that they may treat them compassionately.(F)
1 Kings 8:46-50
New International Version
46 “When they sin against you—for there is no one who does not sin(A)—and you become angry with them and give them over to their enemies, who take them captive(B) to their own lands, far away or near; 47 and if they have a change of heart in the land where they are held captive, and repent and plead(C) with you in the land of their captors and say, ‘We have sinned, we have done wrong, we have acted wickedly’;(D) 48 and if they turn back(E) to you with all their heart(F) and soul in the land of their enemies who took them captive, and pray(G) to you toward the land you gave their ancestors, toward the city you have chosen and the temple(H) I have built for your Name;(I) 49 then from heaven, your dwelling place, hear their prayer and their plea, and uphold their cause. 50 And forgive your people, who have sinned against you; forgive all the offenses they have committed against you, and cause their captors to show them mercy;(J)
1 Kings 8:46-50
King James Version
46 If they sin against thee, (for there is no man that sinneth not,) and thou be angry with them, and deliver them to the enemy, so that they carry them away captives unto the land of the enemy, far or near;
47 Yet if they shall bethink themselves in the land whither they were carried captives, and repent, and make supplication unto thee in the land of them that carried them captives, saying, We have sinned, and have done perversely, we have committed wickedness;
48 And so return unto thee with all their heart, and with all their soul, in the land of their enemies, which led them away captive, and pray unto thee toward their land, which thou gavest unto their fathers, the city which thou hast chosen, and the house which I have built for thy name:
49 Then hear thou their prayer and their supplication in heaven thy dwelling place, and maintain their cause,
50 And forgive thy people that have sinned against thee, and all their transgressions wherein they have transgressed against thee, and give them compassion before them who carried them captive, that they may have compassion on them:
