15 if you reject my regulations and you detest my ordinances so much that you do not obey all my commandments, so that you break my covenant, 16 I in turn will do this to you: I will inflict upon you panic, wasting disease, and fever, which will cause your eyes to fail and your vitality to slip away. You will sow your seed but get no return, for your enemies will eat it. 17 I will set my face against you. You will be beaten by your enemies, and those who hate you will rule over you. You will flee, even though nobody is pursuing you.

15 and if you reject my decrees and abhor my laws(A) and fail to carry out all my commands and so violate my covenant,(B) 16 then I will do this to you: I will bring on you sudden terror, wasting diseases and fever(C) that will destroy your sight and sap your strength.(D) You will plant seed in vain, because your enemies will eat it.(E) 17 I will set my face(F) against you so that you will be defeated(G) by your enemies;(H) those who hate you will rule over you,(I) and you will flee even when no one is pursuing you.(J)
