30-31 None of my people are ever to do any work on that day—not now or in the future. And I will wipe out those who do! 32 This is a time of complete rest just like the Sabbath, and everyone must go without eating from the evening of the ninth to the evening of the tenth.

31 You shall do no work at all. This is to be a lasting ordinance(A) for the generations to come, wherever you live. 32 It is a day of sabbath rest(B) for you, and you must deny yourselves. From the evening of the ninth day of the month until the following evening you are to observe your sabbath.”(C)
