a person who touches such a thing[a] shall be unclean until the evening, and he shall not eat from the votive offerings, except[b] when he washes[c] his body with water and the sun sets,[d] and he shall be clean; then[e] afterward he may eat from the votive offerings, because it is his food. He shall not eat a naturally dead body or[f] a mangled carcass, so that he becomes unclean[g] by it; I am Yahweh.

The one who touches any such thing will be unclean(A) till evening.(B) He must not eat any of the sacred offerings unless he has bathed himself with water.(C) When the sun goes down, he will be clean, and after that he may eat the sacred offerings, for they are his food.(D) He must not eat anything found dead(E) or torn by wild animals,(F) and so become unclean(G) through it. I am the Lord.(H)
