Leviticus 20:21-23
Good News Translation
21 (A)If a man takes his brother's wife, they will die childless. He has done a ritually unclean thing and has disgraced his brother.
22 The Lord said, “Keep all my laws and commands, so that you will not be rejected by the land of Canaan, into which I am bringing you. 23 Do not adopt the customs of the people who live there; I am driving out those pagans so that you can enter the land. They have disgusted me with all their evil practices.

21 “‘If a man marries his brother’s wife,(A) it is an act of impurity; he has dishonored his brother. They will be childless.(B)
22 “‘Keep all my decrees and laws(C) and follow them, so that the land(D) where I am bringing you to live may not vomit you out. 23 You must not live according to the customs of the nations(E) I am going to drive out before you.(F) Because they did all these things, I abhorred them.(G)
