² “Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, ^(A)I am the Lord your God.

⁴⁴ For I am the Lord your God. Consecrate yourselves therefore, and ^(A)be holy, for I am holy. ^(B)You shall not defile yourselves with any swarming thing that crawls on the ground.

^4 (A)Do not turn to idols ^(B)or make for yourselves any gods of cast metal: I am the Lord your God.

^7 (A)Consecrate yourselves, therefore, and be holy, for I am the Lord your God.

⁶ Say therefore to the people of Israel, ^(A)‘I am the Lord, and ^(B)I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will deliver you from slavery to them, and ^(C)I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great acts of judgement. ⁷ I ^(D)will take you to be my people, and ^(E)I will be your God, and you shall know that ^(F)I am the Lord your God, who has brought you out ^(G)from under the burdens of the Egyptians.
