¹⁷ You are not to have sexual intercourse with a woman and her daughter.^(A) You are not to marry her son’s daughter or her daughter’s daughter and have sex with her. They are close relatives; it is depraved.^(B)

²⁹ “Do not debase^[a](A) your daughter by making her a prostitute,^(B) or the land will be prostituted and filled with depravity.

²⁷ “Therefore, I stretched out My hand against you and reduced your provisions. I gave you over to the desire of those who hate you, the Philistine women,^(A) who were embarrassed by your indecent behavior.

⁴³ Because you did not remember the days^(A) of your youth but enraged Me with all these things, I will also bring your actions down on your own head.”^(B) This is the declaration of the Lord God. “Haven’t you committed immoral acts in addition to all your detestable practices?
