16 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your brother’s wife; it is your brother’s nakedness.(A) 17 You shall not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter, and you shall not take[a] her son’s daughter or her daughter’s daughter to uncover her nakedness; they are your[b] flesh; it is depravity.(B) 18 And you shall not take[c] a woman as a rival to her sister, uncovering her nakedness while her sister is still alive.

16 “‘Do not have sexual relations with your brother’s wife;(A) that would dishonor your brother.

17 “‘Do not have sexual relations with both a woman and her daughter.(B) Do not have sexual relations with either her son’s daughter or her daughter’s daughter; they are her close relatives. That is wickedness.

18 “‘Do not take your wife’s sister(C) as a rival wife and have sexual relations with her while your wife is living.
