7 He must take the two goats to the door of the Tent of Meeting. They are a gift to the Lord. 8 He must use the special stones.[a] They will help him to decide what he should do. He must decide which goat is for the Lord. And he must decide which goat he must send away. 9 Aaron must take the goat that is for the Lord. And he must kill it. It is a sin offering.

7 Then he is to take the two goats and present them before the Lord at the entrance to the tent of meeting. 8 He is to cast lots(A) for the two goats—one lot for the Lord and the other for the scapegoat.[a](B) 9 Aaron shall bring the goat whose lot falls to the Lord and sacrifice it for a sin offering.
