They shall reach from the hips to the thighs; 43 and they shall be on Aaron and on his sons when they go into the tent of meeting or when they come near the altar to minister in the Holy Place, lest they (F)bear guilt and die. (G)This shall be a statute for ever for him and for his offspring after him.

39 “Weave the tunic(A) of fine linen and make the turban(B) of fine linen. The sash is to be the work of an embroiderer. 40 Make tunics, sashes and caps for Aaron’s sons(C) to give them dignity and honor.(D) 41 After you put these clothes(E) on your brother Aaron and his sons, anoint(F) and ordain them. Consecrate them so they may serve me as priests.(G)

42 “Make linen undergarments(H) as a covering for the body, reaching from the waist to the thigh. 43 Aaron and his sons must wear them whenever they enter the tent of meeting(I) or approach the altar to minister in the Holy Place,(J) so that they will not incur guilt and die.(K)

“This is to be a lasting ordinance(L) for Aaron and his descendants.

43 And they shall be upon Aaron, and upon his sons, when they come in unto the tabernacle of the congregation, or when they come near unto the altar to minister in the holy place; that they bear not iniquity, and die: it shall be a statute for ever unto him and his seed after him.
