The priest shall also give a command to slaughter the one bird in an earthenware vessel over [a]running water. As for the live bird, he shall take it together with (A)the cedar wood and the [b]scarlet string and the (B)hyssop, and he shall dip them and the live bird in the blood of the bird that was slaughtered over the [c]running water. (C)He shall then sprinkle seven times the one who is to be cleansed from the leprosy and shall pronounce him clean, and he shall let the live bird go free over the open field.

Then the priest shall order that one of the birds be killed over fresh water in a clay pot.(A) He is then to take the live bird and dip it, together with the cedar wood, the scarlet yarn and the hyssop, into the blood of the bird that was killed over the fresh water.(B) Seven times(C) he shall sprinkle(D) the one to be cleansed of the defiling disease, and then pronounce them clean. After that, he is to release the live bird in the open fields.(E)
