41-42 Don't eat any of those disgusting little creatures that crawl or walk close to the ground. 43 If you eat any of them, you will become just as disgusting and unclean as they are. 44 (A) I am the Lord your God, and you must dedicate yourselves to me and be holy, just as I am holy. Don't become disgusting by eating any of these unclean creatures.

42 You are not to eat any creature that moves along the ground, whether it moves on its belly or walks on all fours or on many feet; it is unclean. 43 Do not defile yourselves by any of these creatures.(A) Do not make yourselves unclean by means of them or be made unclean by them. 44 I am the Lord your God;(B) consecrate yourselves(C) and be holy,(D) because I am holy.(E) Do not make yourselves unclean by any creature that moves along the ground.(F)
