Moses said to Aaron, “When the Lord said, ‘I will show that I am holy among those near me, and before all the people I will manifest my glorious presence,’ this is what he meant!” But Aaron was silent.

Then Moses called Mishael and Elzaphan the sons of Uzziel, Aaron’s uncle, and told them, “Go carry your relatives out from the front of the sanctuary to a place outside the camp.” So they went forward and carried Nadab and Abihu out by their tunics to a place outside the camp, just as Moses had ordered.

Moses then said to Aaron, “This is what the Lord spoke of when he said:

“‘Among those who approach me(A)
    I will be proved holy;(B)
in the sight of all the people
    I will be honored.(C)’”

Aaron remained silent.

Moses summoned Mishael and Elzaphan,(D) sons of Aaron’s uncle Uzziel,(E) and said to them, “Come here; carry your cousins outside the camp,(F) away from the front of the sanctuary.(G) So they came and carried them, still in their tunics,(H) outside the camp, as Moses ordered.
