¹⁰ and ^(A)so as to separate between the holy and the profane, and between the unclean and the clean,

²⁶ Her ^(A)priests have done violence to My law and have ^(B)profaned My holy things; they have made no ^(C)separation between the holy and the profane, and they have not made known the difference between the ^(D)unclean and the clean; and they hide their eyes from My sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.

¹¹ “Thus says Yahweh of hosts, ‘^(A)Ask now the priests about the law: ¹² If a man carries ^(B)holy meat in the ^[a]fold of his garment and touches bread with ^[b]this fold or cooked food, wine, oil, or any other food, will it become holy?’” And the priests answered, “No.” ¹³ Then Haggai said, “^(C)If one who is unclean from a ^[c]corpse touches any of these, will the latter become unclean?” And the priests answered, “It will become unclean.”

^6 [a](A)Instruction of truth was in his mouth, and unrighteousness was not found on his lips; he walked ^(B)with Me in peace and uprightness, and he ^(C)turned many back from iniquity. ⁷ For the lips of a priest should keep ^(D)knowledge, and ^[b]men should ^(E)seek ^[c]instruction from his mouth; for he is the ^(F)messenger of Yahweh of hosts. ⁸ But as for you, you have turned aside from the way; you have caused many to ^(G)stumble ^[d]by the instruction; you have ^[e](H)corrupted the covenant of Levi,” says Yahweh of hosts.
