Leviticus 1:2-4

2 “Speak to the Israelites,[a] and say to them, ‘When a person[b] from you presents an offering to Yahweh, you shall present your offering from domestic animals, from the cattle[c] or from the flock.[d] 3 If his offering is a burnt offering from the cattle,[e] then he must present[f] an unblemished male; he must present it at the door of the tent of assembly for his acceptance before[g] Yahweh.
4 “‘He[h] must lay his hand on the head of the burnt offering and it will be accepted[i] for him in order to make atonement for him.

2 “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘When anyone among you brings an offering to the Lord,(A) bring as your offering an animal from either the herd or the flock.(B)
3 “‘If the offering is a burnt offering(C) from the herd,(D) you are to offer a male without defect.(E) You must present it at the entrance to the tent(F) of meeting so that it will be acceptable(G) to the Lord. 4 You are to lay your hand on the head(H) of the burnt offering,(I) and it will be accepted(J) on your behalf to make atonement(K) for you.
