12 The person must cut the animal into pieces. Then the priest must lay the pieces with the head and fat on the wood. The wood is on the fire on the altar. 13 The person must wash the animal’s inner organs and legs with water. Then the priest must burn all its parts on the altar. It is a burnt offering, an offering made by fire. And its smell is pleasing to the Lord.

14 “‘The whole burnt offering may be a bird. It must be a dove or a young pigeon.

12 You are to cut it into pieces, and the priest shall arrange them, including the head and the fat,(A) on the wood that is burning on the altar. 13 You are to wash the internal organs and the legs with water,(B) and the priest is to bring all of them and burn them(C) on the altar.(D) It is a burnt offering,(E) a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the Lord.

14 “‘If the offering to the Lord is a burnt offering of birds, you are to offer a dove or a young pigeon.(F)
