Olórí àlùfáà tún bi í, lẹ́ẹ̀kan sí i, ó ní, “Ṣé ìwọ ni Kristi náà, Ọmọ Olùbùkún un nì?”

62 (A)Jesu wá dáhùn, ó ni, “Èmi ni: Ẹ̀yin yóò sì rí Ọmọ Ènìyàn tí yóò jókòó lọ́wọ́ ọ̀tún agbára. Ẹ̀yin yóò sì tún rí Ọmọ Ènìyàn tí ó ń bọ̀ láti inú àwọsánmọ̀ ojú ọ̀run.”

63 (B)Nígbà náà ni Olórí àlùfáà fa aṣọ rẹ̀ ya, ó ní, “Kí ló kù tì a ń wá? Kí ni a tún ń wá ẹlẹ́rìí fún? 64 (C)Ẹ̀yin fúnrayín ti gbọ́ ọ̀rọ̀-òdì tí ó sọ. Kí ni ẹ rò pé ó tọ́ kí a ṣe?”

Gbogbo wọ́n sì dáhùn wí pé, “Ó jẹ̀bi ikú.”

61 But Jesus remained silent and gave no answer.(A)

Again the high priest asked him, “Are you the Messiah, the Son of the Blessed One?”(B)

62 “I am,” said Jesus. “And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.”(C)

63 The high priest tore his clothes.(D) “Why do we need any more witnesses?” he asked. 64 “You have heard the blasphemy. What do you think?”

They all condemned him as worthy of death.(E)
