Lamentations 3:53-55

⁵³My life slid into a pit; and they putted a stone on me.

⁵⁴Waters flowed over mine head; I said, I perish.

⁵⁵Lord, I called to help thy name, from the last pit. (Lord, I called thy name for help, from the deepest pit/from the bottom of the pit.)

⁵³They tried to end my life in a pit^(A)
and threw stones at me;
⁵⁴the waters closed over my head,^(B)
and I thought I was about to perish.^(C)

⁵⁵I called on your name, Lord,
