Lamentations 1:9-11
New American Standard Bible 1995
9 Her (A)uncleanness was in her skirts;
She [a]did not consider her (B)future.
Therefore she has [b](C)fallen astonishingly;
(D)She has no comforter.
“(E)See, O Lord, my affliction,
For the enemy has (F)magnified himself!”
10 The adversary has stretched out his hand
Over all her precious things,
For she has seen the (G)nations enter her sanctuary,
The ones whom You commanded
That they should (H)not enter into Your congregation.
11 All her people groan (I)seeking bread;
They have given their precious things for food
To (J)restore their [c]lives themselves.
“See, O Lord, and look,
For I am (K)despised.”
