Lamentations 1:8-10
New American Standard Bible 1995
8 Jerusalem sinned (A)greatly,
Therefore (B)she has become an unclean thing.
All who honored her despise her
Because they have seen her nakedness;
Even (C)she herself groans and turns away.
9 Her (D)uncleanness was in her skirts;
She [a]did not consider her (E)future.
Therefore she has [b](F)fallen astonishingly;
(G)She has no comforter.
“(H)See, O Lord, my affliction,
For the enemy has (I)magnified himself!”
10 The adversary has stretched out his hand
Over all her precious things,
For she has seen the (J)nations enter her sanctuary,
The ones whom You commanded
That they should (K)not enter into Your congregation.
