⁴ So they gave him seventy pieces of silver from the house of ^(A)Baal-berith with which Abimelech hired worthless and reckless fellows, and they followed him.

²⁷ And they went out into the field and gathered the grapes of their vineyards and trod them and celebrated a ^[a]festival; and they came into the house of ^(A)their god and ate and drank and cursed Abimelech.

⁴⁶ Then all the lords of the tower of Shechem heard of it, and they entered the inner chamber of the ^[a]temple of ^(A)El-berith.
