13 But the vine said to them, ‘Shall I leave my wine that (A)cheers God and men and go to hold sway over the trees?’ 14 Then all the trees said to the bramble, ‘You come and reign over us.’ 15 And the bramble said to the trees, ‘If in good faith you are anointing me king over you, then come and (B)take refuge in my shade, but if not, (C)let fire come out of the bramble and devour (D)the cedars of Lebanon.’

14 “Finally all the trees said to the thornbush, ‘Come and be our king.’
15 “The thornbush said to the trees, ‘If you really want to anoint me king over you, come and take refuge in my shade;(B) but if not, then let fire come out(C) of the thornbush and consume the cedars of Lebanon!’(D)
