9 I delivered you from the power of Egypt and the power of all who oppressed(A) you. I drove them out before you and gave you their land. 10 I said to you: I am Yahweh your God. Do not fear the gods of the Amorites whose land you live in. But you did not obey Me.’”
The Lord Calls Gideon
11 The Angel[a] of the Lord(B) came, and He[b] sat under the oak that was in Ophrah, which belonged to Joash, the Abiezrite. His son Gideon was threshing wheat in the wine vat in order to hide it from the Midianites.

9 I rescued you from the hand of the Egyptians. And I delivered you from the hand of all your oppressors;(A) I drove them out before you and gave you their land.(B) 10 I said to you, ‘I am the Lord your God; do not worship(C) the gods of the Amorites,(D) in whose land you live.’ But you have not listened to me.”
11 The angel of the Lord(E) came and sat down under the oak in Ophrah(F) that belonged to Joash(G) the Abiezrite,(H) where his son Gideon(I) was threshing(J) wheat in a winepress(K) to keep it from the Midianites.
