5 (A)The mountains [a]flowed at the presence of Yahweh,
(B)This Sinai, at the presence of Yahweh, the God of Israel.

6 “In the days of (C)Shamgar the son of Anath,
In the days of (D)Jael, the paths had ceased,
So travelers [b]went by [c]roundabout paths.
7 The peasantry ceased; they ceased in Israel,
Until I, Deborah, arose,
Until I arose, a mother in Israel.

    travelers took to winding paths.(E)
7 Villagers in Israel would not fight;
    they held back until I, Deborah,(F) arose,
    until I arose, a mother in Israel.
