Judges 5:10-12
Contemporary English Version

10 Listen, everyone!
Whether you ride a donkey
    with a padded saddle
    or have to walk.
11 Even those who carry water[a]
    to the animals will tell you,
“The Lord has won victories,
    and so has Israel.”

Then the Lord's people marched
    down to the town gates
12 and said, “Deborah, let's go!
Let's sing as we march.
    Barak, capture our enemies.”

10 “You who ride on white donkeys,(A)
    sitting on your saddle blankets,
    and you who walk along the road,
consider 11 the voice of the singers[a] at the watering places.
    They recite the victories(B) of the Lord,
    the victories of his villagers in Israel.

“Then the people of the Lord
    went down to the city gates.(C)
12 ‘Wake up,(D) wake up, Deborah!(E)
    Wake up, wake up, break out in song!
Arise, Barak!(F)
    Take captive your captives,(G) son of Abinoam.’
