¹² and they ^(A)forsook the Lord God of their fathers, who had brought them out of the land of Egypt; and they followed ^(B)other gods from among the gods of the people who were all around them, and they ^(C)bowed down to them; and they provoked the Lord to anger. ¹³ They forsook the Lord ^(D)and served ^[a]Baal and the ^[b]Ashtoreths.

¹⁰ Then they cried out to the Lord, and said, ^(A)‘We have sinned, because we have forsaken the Lord ^(B)and served the Baals and ^[a]Ashtoreths; but now deliver us from the hand of our enemies, and we will serve You.’

^10 (A)Then they put his armor in the temple of the ^(B)Ashtoreths, and ^(C)they fastened his body to the wall of ^(D)Beth^[a] Shan.
