Names of God Bible
29 They named the city Dan in honor of their ancestor Dan, Israel’s son. Originally, the city was called Laish.
30 The people of Dan set up the carved idol for themselves. Jonathan (son of Gershom and grandson of Moses) and his descendants were priests for Dan’s tribe until the people living in that land were taken captive. 31 So they set up for themselves the carved idol Micah had made. It stayed there the whole time the house of Elohim was at Shiloh.

29 They named it Dan(A) after their ancestor Dan, who was born to Israel—though the city used to be called Laish.(B) 30 There the Danites set up for themselves the idol, and Jonathan son of Gershom,(C) the son of Moses,[a] and his sons were priests for the tribe of Dan until the time of the captivity of the land. 31 They continued to use the idol Micah had made,(D) all the time the house of God(E) was in Shiloh.(F)
