3 Samson stayed in bed with the girl until midnight, then went out to the city gates and lifted them, with the two gateposts, right out of the ground. He put them on his shoulders and carried them to the top of the mountain across from Hebron!
4 Later on he fell in love with a girl named Delilah over in the valley of Sorek. 5 The five heads of the Philistine nation went personally to her and demanded that she find out from Samson what made him so strong, so that they would know how to overpower and subdue him and put him in chains.
“Each of us will give you a thousand dollars for this job,” they promised.

New International Version
3 But Samson lay there only until the middle of the night. Then he got up and took hold of the doors of the city gate, together with the two posts, and tore them loose, bar and all. He lifted them to his shoulders and carried them to the top of the hill that faces Hebron.(A)
4 Some time later, he fell in love(B) with a woman in the Valley of Sorek whose name was Delilah.(C) 5 The rulers of the Philistines(D) went to her and said, “See if you can lure(E) him into showing you the secret of his great strength(F) and how we can overpower him so we may tie him up and subdue him. Each one of us will give you eleven hundred shekels[a] of silver.”(G)
