8 Yet in the same way these men, also by dreaming, (A)defile the flesh, and reject authority, and blaspheme [a]glorious ones. 9 But (B)Michael (C)the archangel, when he, disputing with the devil, was arguing about (D)the body of Moses, did not dare pronounce against him a blasphemous judgment, but said, “(E)The Lord rebuke you!” 10 But (F)these men blaspheme the things which they do not understand; and (G)the things which they know by instinct, (H)like unreasoning animals, by these things they are [b]destroyed.

8 In the very same way, on the strength of their dreams these ungodly people pollute their own bodies, reject authority and heap abuse on celestial beings.(A) 9 But even the archangel(B) Michael,(C) when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses,(D) did not himself dare to condemn him for slander but said, “The Lord rebuke you!”[a](E) 10 Yet these people slander whatever they do not understand, and the very things they do understand by instinct—as irrational animals do—will destroy them.(F)
