¹² the king of Eglon, one; ^(A)the king of Gezer, one;

³ and went down westward to the boundary of the Japhletites, ^(A)as far as the boundary of Lower Beth Horon to ^(B)Gezer; and ^[a]it ended at the sea.

^10 (A)And they did not drive out the Canaanites who dwelt in Gezer; but the Canaanites dwell among the Ephraimites to this day and have become forced laborers.

²¹ For they gave them ^(A)Shechem with its common-land in the mountains of Ephraim (a city of refuge for the slayer), ^(B)Gezer with its common-land,

^29 (A)Nor did Ephraim drive out the Canaanites who dwelt in Gezer; so the Canaanites dwelt in Gezer among them.

²⁵ And David did so, as the Lord commanded him; and he drove back the Philistines from ^(A)Geba^[a] as far as ^(B)Gezer.

¹⁵ And this is the reason for ^(B)the labor force which King Solomon raised: to build the house of the Lord, his own house, ^[a]the ^(C)Millo, the wall of Jerusalem, ^(D)Hazor, ^(E)Megiddo, and ^(F)Gezer.
