16 And the seventh time it happened, when the priests blew the trumpets, that Joshua said to the people: “Shout, for the Lord has given you the city! 17 Now the city shall be (A)doomed by the Lord to destruction, it and all who are in it. Only (B)Rahab the harlot shall live, she and all who are with her in the house, because (C)she hid the messengers that we sent. 18 And you, (D)by all means abstain from the accursed things, lest you become accursed when you take of the accursed things, and make the camp of Israel a curse, (E)and trouble it.

16 The seventh time around, when the priests sounded the trumpet blast, Joshua commanded the army, “Shout! For the Lord has given you the city!(A) 17 The city and all that is in it are to be devoted[a](B) to the Lord. Only Rahab the prostitute(C) and all who are with her in her house shall be spared, because she hid(D) the spies we sent. 18 But keep away from the devoted things,(E) so that you will not bring about your own destruction by taking any of them. Otherwise you will make the camp of Israel liable to destruction(F) and bring trouble(G) on it.
