16 And when the priests had blown the shofarot the seventh time, Joshua said unto the people, Shout, for the LORD has given you the city.
17 ¶ And the city shall be anathema unto the LORD, even it, and all the things that are in it; only Rahab, the harlot, shall live, she and all that are with her in the house because she hid the messengers that we sent.
18 But keep yourselves from the anathema, that ye not touch nor take any thing of the anathema so that ye not make the camp of Israel anathema and trouble it.

16 The seventh time around, when the priests sounded the trumpet blast, Joshua commanded the army, “Shout! For the Lord has given you the city!(A) 17 The city and all that is in it are to be devoted[a](B) to the Lord. Only Rahab the prostitute(C) and all who are with her in her house shall be spared, because she hid(D) the spies we sent. 18 But keep away from the devoted things,(E) so that you will not bring about your own destruction by taking any of them. Otherwise you will make the camp of Israel liable to destruction(F) and bring trouble(G) on it.
