23 For the Lord your God dried up the waters of Jordan before you, until ye were gone over as the Lord your God did the red Sea, (A)which he dried up before us, till we were gone over,
24 That all the people of the [a]world may know that the hand of the Lord is mighty, that ye might fear the Lord your God continually.

New International Version
23 For the Lord your God dried up the Jordan before you until you had crossed over. The Lord your God did to the Jordan what he had done to the Red Sea[a] when he dried it up before us until we had crossed over.(A) 24 He did this so that all the peoples of the earth might know(B) that the hand of the Lord is powerful(C) and so that you might always fear the Lord your God.(D)”
