Joshua 24:23

New International Version

²³“Now then,” said Joshua, “throw away the foreign gods^(A) that are among you and yield your hearts^(B) to the Lord, the God of Israel.”

²³Now therefore put away, said he, the strange gods which are among you, and incline your heart unto the Lord God of Israel.

²³“Now therefore,” he said, ^(A)“put away the foreign gods which are among you, and ^(B)incline your heart to the Lord God of Israel.”

⁸and if that nation I warned repents of its evil, then I will relent^(A) and not inflict on it the disaster^(B) I had planned.

⁸If that nation, against whom I have pronounced, turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them.

⁸^(A)if that nation against whom I have spoken turns from its evil, ^(B)I will relent of the disaster that I thought to bring upon it.
