11 Take utmost care for the sake of your life to love Yahweh your God, 12 for if indeed you turn back and join these remaining nations among you,[a] and you intermarry with them, marrying their women and they yours,[b] 13 know for certain that Yahweh your God will not continue to drive out[c] these nations from before you; they will be for you a snare and a trap, a whip on your sides and thorns in your eyes, until you perish from this good land that Yahweh your God has given to you.

11 So be very careful(A) to love the Lord(B) your God.
12 “But if you turn away and ally yourselves with the survivors of these nations that remain among you and if you intermarry with them(C) and associate with them,(D) 13 then you may be sure that the Lord your God will no longer drive out(E) these nations before you. Instead, they will become snares(F) and traps for you, whips on your backs and thorns in your eyes,(G) until you perish from this good land,(H) which the Lord your God has given you.
