2-3 and addressed them as follows:
“You have done as the Lord’s disciple Moses commanded you, and have obeyed every order I have given you—every order of the Lord your God. You have not deserted your brother tribes, even though the campaign has lasted for such a long time. 4 And now the Lord our God has given us success and rest as he promised he would. So go home now to the land given you by the Lord’s servant Moses, on the other side of the Jordan River. 5 Be sure to continue to obey all of the commandments Moses gave you. Love the Lord and follow his plan for your lives. Cling to him and serve him enthusiastically.”

3 For a long time now—to this very day—you have not deserted your fellow Israelites but have carried out the mission the Lord your God gave you. 4 Now that the Lord your God has given them rest(A) as he promised, return to your homes(B) in the land that Moses the servant of the Lord gave you on the other side of the Jordan.(C) 5 But be very careful to keep the commandment(D) and the law that Moses the servant of the Lord gave you: to love the Lord(E) your God, to walk in obedience to him, to keep his commands,(F) to hold fast to him and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.(G)”
