3 All this time you have supported all the other Israelites. You carefully obeyed all the commands that the Lord your God gave you. 4 The Lord your God promised to give the Israelites peace. And now, he has kept his promise, so now you can go home. The Lord’s servant Moses gave you the land on the east side of the Jordan River. Now you can go home to that land. 5 But remember—continue to obey the law that the Lord’s servant Moses gave you. You must love the Lord your God and obey his commands. You must continue to follow him and serve him the very best that you can.”

3 For a long time now—to this very day—you have not deserted your fellow Israelites but have carried out the mission the Lord your God gave you. 4 Now that the Lord your God has given them rest(A) as he promised, return to your homes(B) in the land that Moses the servant of the Lord gave you on the other side of the Jordan.(C) 5 But be very careful to keep the commandment(D) and the law that Moses the servant of the Lord gave you: to love the Lord(E) your God, to walk in obedience to him, to keep his commands,(F) to hold fast to him and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.(G)”
