13 Spare my father and my mother, my brothers and my sisters, and all their households, saving us from sure death.” 14 The men answered her, “Our lives for your lives. If you do not inform on what we are doing, then we will treat you kindly and faithfully when the Lord has given us the land.”
15 She let them down by a rope through the window, for the house in which she lived was built upon the city wall.

13 that you will spare the lives of my father and mother, my brothers and sisters, and all who belong to them(A)—and that you will save us from death.”
14 “Our lives for your lives!”(B) the men assured her. “If you don’t tell what we are doing, we will treat you kindly and faithfully(C) when the Lord gives us the land.”
15 So she let them down by a rope(D) through the window,(E) for the house she lived in was part of the city wall.
