Their south border ran from the end of the Dead Sea, from the bay that faces south. It went south from the ascent of Akrabbim, passed on to Zin, and went up south of Kadesh-barnea. It passed on to Hezron, went up to Addar, and turned toward Karka. It passed on to Azmon and went by the border[a] of Egypt. The border ended at the sea. This will be their south border.

Their southern boundary started from the bay at the southern end of the Dead Sea,(A) crossed south of Scorpion Pass,(B) continued on to Zin and went over to the south of Kadesh Barnea.(C) Then it ran past Hezron up to Addar and curved around to Karka. It then passed along to Azmon(D) and joined the Wadi of Egypt,(E) ending at the Mediterranean Sea. This is their[a] southern boundary.
