Good News Translation
6 (A)This includes all the territory of the Sidonians, who live in the hill country between the Lebanon Mountains and Misrephoth Maim. I will drive all these peoples out as the people of Israel advance. You must divide the land among the Israelites, just as I have commanded you to do. 7 Now then, divide this land among the other nine tribes and half of the tribe of Manasseh, for them to possess as their own.”

8 (B)The tribes of Reuben and Gad and the other half of the tribe of Manasseh had already received the land that Moses, the Lord's servant, had given them; it was on the east side of the Jordan River.

6 “As for all the inhabitants of the mountain regions from Lebanon to Misrephoth Maim,(A) that is, all the Sidonians, I myself will drive them out(B) before the Israelites. Be sure to allocate this land to Israel for an inheritance, as I have instructed you,(C) 7 and divide it as an inheritance(D) among the nine tribes and half of the tribe of Manasseh.”

8 The other half of Manasseh,[a] the Reubenites and the Gadites had received the inheritance that Moses had given them east of the Jordan, as he, the servant of the Lord, had assigned(E) it to them.(F)
